'An Unexpected Electric Nativity' is a play with almost no dialogue. It follows two humanoid robots who accidentally come to life in a lab, discovering little by little how to blink, move, walk, play and, eventually, laugh.

To really emphasis the robots' laughter, a sign of their humanity, all sound until this point was made live with Foley. Papers rustling, objects dropped, even a song accidentally played on the laptop - all were conveyed through a microphone, made live by performers  onstage. This, paired with the central actors' minute and detailed physical perfomances, charted the robots' journey from newness to human.
